Unequal Lipo Batteries in Parrallel

If I plan on using 2 batteries in parallel do I need to use the same size batteries.

For example: can I use a 3s 2100 with a 3s 1300 to get 3400 mah?

This is a bad set up

This set up is not a good idea.

What will happen is both batteries will discharge at nearly the same rate. So the 1300 mah battery will be completely discharged while the 2100 mah battery will still be going strong.

The low voltage cut off on the ESC will not function properly and you are likely to over discharge the smaller battery and ruin it.
