Performance changes after a couple of minutes in the air

by Ken Mainstone
(UK)

I have a vintage 20cc Super Tigre that has been rarely used since new. Getting correct idle and full throttle settings on the ground is difficult as the carb seems very sensitive.

After taking off with what seems satisfactory settings both full and idle, the engine after a couple of minutes in the air dies to what seems quarter throttle even with stick at full throttle. It is running on 10% Nitro

Supre Struggle
by: rcdude07

I feel your pain. I had an old Super Tigre 45 that started doing the same thing after 4 years of sitting while I was at college. My dad tried to rebuild the carb, checked the gasket at the muffler and we decided it was done for as nothing, absolutely nothing helped.

Carb Adjustment
by: MikeB

The carb can be a bit finicky. I have several Super Tigers and I really like them.

Read this instruction sheet to help you understand and adjust your carb.

I have an OS 20cc glow; I am experiencing the same problem; after 4-5 minute of nice performances and aerobatic figure; in constant asset and condition die. I don't know what to do.
