E-Flite Icon A5

Hi I am Titch. I am only been flying for a few months now and learnt to fly with the Cessna 182.

I have had the A5 for a few months now and I fly it with the Spektrum DX6 transmitter. I am having problems trying to follow the instructions on how to fly in SAFE mode and then by moving a switch on the transmitter take the SAFE off for some fun and then move the switch back so I can have a controlled landing.

Please can someone help.

SAFE Select bound turned off?

That's a mighty big jump from a trainer aircraft to the Icon A5. I'm not familiar with SAFE setup, as I don't find it useful for me. If it's SAFE Select setup as Horizon Hobby is doing for its new models, sounds like the initial binding process turned SAFE off.

My recommendation is to go through the binding and setup process one more time, following the detailed steps Horizon Hobby produces and even watching a video on how to bind the A5. I'm 90% sure HH produced such a video.
